Gázai Éneász, neoplatonista filozófus, aki keresztény hitre tért. Tagja volt a bizánci retorikai iskolának mely a V.-VI. században virágzott. Jelen könyvében párszéd formájában ütközteti a neo-platonista és a keresztény álláspontokat.
