Lipót besúgója. 1784-ben adta ki az A. E. C. H. T. A. rövidítéssel aposztrofált szemtanú korabeli kéziratát II. Mátyás magyar király koronázásáról, saját nevét J. G. H. C. (Josephus Grossinger Hungarus Comaromiensis) formában említve a bevezetője végén. Az itt feltárt szándéka szerint azért mentette meg a molyok martalékából az iratot, hogy némi adalékot tudjon szolgáltatni hazája történelméhez. (Gausz Ildikó: Magyar koronázás francia szemmel) Ritka nyomtatvány. Könyvárverésen egy alkalommal szerepelt.
