Korabeli, aranyozott, bordázott gerincű egészbőr kötésben, festett lapszélekkel, a képeken látható állapotban.
Antonio de Guevara (1480-1545) spanyol püspök, V. Károly császár udvari hitszónoka és történetírója volt. Igen népszerű „Horologium principum” c. könyvének első kiadása spanyol nyelven, 1527-ben jelent meg. A latin fordítás 1601-ben készült el, ekkorra már a német, francia, olasz, angol, flamand kiadások is készen voltak. A magyar nyelvű kiadás először 1610-ben jelent meg Draskovich János, horvát bán fordításában. Később Rákóczy György ösztönzésére Prágai András, az első és harmadik rész fordításával Bártfán is megjelent. A címe: Fejedelmeknek serkentő órája. A mű ókori írók, elsősorban Marcus Aurelius császár és költött környezetének fiktív szónoklataira, leveleire, munkáira támaszkodva fejedelmek és főemberek jó házasságát és gyermekeik helyes nevelését kívánta szolgálni. A második kötet bibliai tárgyú elmélkedéseket, áhitati szövegeket tartalmaz.
